The Cardinal Foundation For Distance Learning(CAFDIL) is a  registered company, limited by guarantee under the Ghana companies code of 1964 act 172. The Foundation has a 12-member board of trustees that provides overall strategic direction and guidance, with its corporate headquarters in Cape Coast (The Central regional capital of Ghana).

The mandate of the Foundation is to realize the vision of Cardinal Peter K.A. Turkson by providing equal educational opportunities, especially for the marginalized and disadvantaged youth, living in rural and remote communities. The key target is the youth with a temporary or permanent educational disadvantage because of poverty, unavailability of teachers, distance from educational facilities, or under-development.
