The Archdiocese of Cape Coast on the 17th of June 2023, embarked on a pilgrimage to the Marian Grotto which is located inside Jukwa Krobo to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The occasion began with the procession with the Marian Statue amidst the singing of Marian songs and praying of the Holy Rosary. The Feast saw dignitaries like Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle (The Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast), The Emeritus Archbishop of Cape Coast, Most Rev. Mattias Kobena Nketsiah, and the Guest speaker in the person of Most Rev. Joseph Kweku Essien (Emeritus Archbishop of Wiawso). Some of the activities that took place were the sale of the Marian Portrait an agenda to fill every home with the presence of Mary, there was also fundraising to build more tents and buy more chairs in other to be able to accommodate people that visit the Grotto for prayers. After that, there was a celebration of the holy mass to climax the day that was led by the Emeritus Archbishop of Wiawso, Most. Rev. Joseph Kweku Essien.
